چکیده
A composite material prepared from municipal solid waste-derived biochar and montmorillonite (MSW-BC-MMT) was studied as a remediation medium for the removal of oxytetracycline (OTC) aqueous systems. The morphological characterization using SEM images revealed that had heterogeneous flaky, plate-like surface appearance. Based on N2 adsorption experiments compared to pristine biochar, showed an increased specific area by 1.5 folds. three-parameter Redlich Peterson isotherm model two-parameter Temkin were best fitted with R2 = 0.998 0.997, respectively, both MSW-BC-MMT composite. Additionally, kinetics described pseudo-second-order model, suggesting OTC onto takes place via chemisorption. capacity 233 mg g−1 observed MSW-BC-MMT, which is suggested be predominantly governed π-π electron donor–acceptor interactions, electrostatic attraction complexation. As evidenced FTIR results, presumed adsorbed hydrogen bonding well. value addition MSW producing MSW-derived considered favorable solution waste management. Therefore, production becomes useful due its significance in acting simultaneous management technique low-cost antibiotic remediation.

Environmental implications of municipal solid waste-derived ethanol.
We model a municipal solid waste (MSW)-to-ethanol facility that employs dilute acid hydrolysis and gravity pressure vessel technology and estimate life cycle energy use and air emissions. We compare our results, assuming the ethanol is utilized as E85 (blended with 15% gasoline) in a light-duty vehicle, with extant life cycle assessments of gasoline, corn-ethanol, and energy crop-cellulosic-eth...

THE CITY OF COLOMBO , which has a resident population of little over half a million, and a total area of 3731 hectares, is administered by a Municipal Council. The collection and disposal of solid waste generated within the City is a function of the Municipal Council, and is carried out by its six district offices. The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) collects around 500 metric tons of solid was...
متن کاملEvaluating of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Production from Municipal Solid Waste (Case Study: Qazvin Province)
Considering increasing population growth in recent decades, and consequently, the increase in waste production in the world, waste management and efforts to reduce their harm to the environment has become an important issue. One of the appropriate ways to manage municipal waste is to generate energy from waste, especially by RDF production method. On the other hand, in order to reduce the consu...

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This paper introduces a framework developed for the waste management sector supported by Performance Indicators. It was designed in order to be coherent and articulate and to enable full integration of its information. These indicators proved to be a useful management tool. This framework includes 167 performance indicators (PI) divided into two types of information: 58 Contex...
